Auction Catalogue: Great Central Railwayana, 21 January 2006
| Lot 95 |
A Small SR Three Aspect Handlamp, used on THE LYNTON & BARNSTAPLE RAILWAY at Pilton Yard, by cleaner E.J. Heale, together with various letters to Mr Heale (SR and one Lynton and Barnstaple Rly letterhead) concerning employment, leave, transfers, etc. together with their envelopes, some refer to Pilton Yard (L&B) where Mr Heale worked. The lamp is a good 3-aspect example with SR stamped on burner and body. A brass "E" (Eastleigh) plate on top with all fittings (except reflector and back catch). An interesting item with good provenance, the L&B letterhead being a great rarity in its own right.
