Lot 16 A Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY, LONDON, No 2386/D426. 1958, THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD, LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND", from BR Class 23 D5909, the last of this small Class of ten engines, which was allocated new to Hornsea in June 1959 and withdrawn from Finsbury Park in March 1971. It was cut up at Cohens, Kettering in August 1973. Chromed brass, 10_"x43/8", the front repainted black and characters polished brass, the border chrome, back untouched with original primer and evidence of loco paint.
 This lot sold for £1500
