A Locomotive Plate, "C.B.E.S, No 6", from a 0-6-0T O/S built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns in 1938, Works No 6964, which went new to The City of Birmingham Electric Supply Department at Hams Hall Power Station, Coleshill, where it remained all its working life, although various statutory provisions changed its owner's name to the British Electricity Authority, then the Central Electricity Authority and finally the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB). It was cut up in August 1968. Cast brass 30_" long with the number below in centre, overall depth 10_", serif characters on stippled background, in ex loco condition.
