| Lot 1 | A BR(W) chocolate and cream Totem Sign "STONEHOUSE (BURDETT ROAD)", (f/f), the station is between Standish Junction and Stroud on the GWR Gloucester to Swindon Main Line. The BR suffix was used from the 17th of September 1951 until the 6th of May 1968 and is of course unique to the station. It is shown in the lower panel within brackets. Good colour and shine, four tiny chips matched in, the odd blemish and usual edge chips. The station had four totems, none of which have been offered at auction before. |
