| Lot 20 | An LNER Cast Iron Seat Back Plate "BOTANIC GARDENS". The station was on the North Eastern Railway's Hull to Hornsea and Withensea route adjacent to Botanic Gardens Engine Shed. Passenger services were withdrawn on the 19th of October 1964, with freight lasting another eleven months. The plate is 47" long with a virtually invisible repair at the right end beyond the lettering, unrestored though little paint on the front, the rim and back have crusty green paint in places. |
