Lot 40 A Locomotive Worksplate "LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 69774, DARLINGTON WORKS 1910", from a North Eastern Railway Class Y, LNER A7 Class, 4-6-2T built at Darlington in December 1910 and designed for short-haul work from the collieries to the ports. It was NER/ early LNER No 1136, was renumbered 9774 in 1946, becoming BR 69774. In its early days it was allocated to Thirsk and then Malton, later moving to Springhead from where it was withdrawn in August 1954. Cast iron oval, 9"x5", the front repainted.
