| Lot 6 | A Set of Great Western Railway Plans "G.W.R. BRIDPORT BRANCH SURVEY 1897, General Managers Copy", gilt title on brown leather boards (repeated on front of leather/board slipcase). The plans one to a scale of 1_" =1 chain, hand coloured and show the complete track layout of the branch, every building, bridge and crossing etc. Notes on the acquisition of land to build the line are included, disposals before and after closure (the latest being 1986) are indicated by neat hatching with names of buyers. The plans are linen backed and designed to open in book form, superb quality and in excellent condition. |
