A Smokebox Numberplate "43687", from a Midland Rly Class 3F 0-6-0 built by Neilson Reid & Co in June 1901, Works No 4048. It was re-boilered in 1913 and 1923 and became LMS 3687, BR 43687. A long-time Bournville engine, it spent its final years at Saltley from where it was withdrawn in August 1960. After eight months in store at Saltley, it was cut up at Cashmores, Great Bridge in May 1963. The front repainted.
