A BR(M) maroon enamel station direction sign "BRITISH RAILWAYS, RUGBY CENTRAL STATION", (f/f) with company name in totem logo at top and right hand arrow at base, the sign indicated the route to one of the principal stations on the Great Central's London extension. The route South closed on the 5th of September 1966 after which he station became the terminus for the local service from Nottingham. Final closure was on the 5th of May 1969. 28"x13", excellent colour and shine with a couple of marks at edge and a few edge chips on the flange.
