A Locomotive Worksplate "SIR W.G. ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH & Co, (ENGINEERS) LTD, No 1490, 1937, SCOTSWOOD WORKS, NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE", from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5435 which became BR 45435. A Southport engine at nationalization, it later moved to Wakefield, then Low Moor, Newton Heath, Lancaster (Green Ayre) and finally Carnforth from where it was withdrawn in June 1968. It was cut up at Drapers, Hull four months later. Brass rectangle, 83/8"x5", in ex loco condition.
