Lot 51 A Locomotive Tenderplate "BR1, 857, 1953", from the 4250 gallon tender paired with the BR Standard Class 7 "Britannia" 4-6-2 No 70038 "Robin Hood" built at Crewe and allocated new to Stratford in January 1953. Its later sheds were Norwich, March, Immingham, Carlisle Upperby and finally Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in August 1967. After five months in store at Kingmoor, it was cut up at McWilliams, Shettleston in February 1968. Cast iron, 8"x5_", the front repainted blue on white, the back silver undercoat with pitted rust.
