| Lot 12 |
A Locomotive Worksplate "THE HUNSLET ENGINE Co LTD, LEEDS, No 2253-1940", from a 0-4-0DM which went ex Works in July 1941 to The Ministry of Defence, Royal Naval Armament Depot at Dean Hill where it was numbered "Yard No 88". In about 1965 it went to Pollock Brown & Co Ltd, Northam and by June 1971 to Docks Haulage & Co, Southampton. We have been unable to trace any record of its disposal. Cast brass oval, 8"x5", the front repainted. Notably a smaller example than the usual Hunslet plates of the period.
