| Lot 267 | A Shedplate "5A", Crewe North (1935 to May 1965). This ex LNWR shed with its predominance of express passenger engines was a spotter's paradise. Patriots, Jubilees, Royal Scots, Princesses, Coronations and, in later years, Britannias all graced this depot. Its allocation was 130 locos in the 50s but this had reduced to about 40 in its final months. The plate is in ex loco condition and complete with its original fixing bolts. |
