| Lot 50 | A Builder's Plate "FRANCIS THEAKSTON LTD, 60 TUFTON ST, LONDON SW, LIGHT RAILWAY ENGINEERS, CREWE WORKS NO E2789". The Company operated from its Crewe Works at Shavington from 1920 to 1933. It was agent for narrow gauge Avonside and Baguley built locos on which it always insisted that its plates should be carried. Cast brass oval, 33/8"x2_", the number stamped in, a small repair by the right hole. |
