| Lot 51 | A GWR tin plate Notice, "GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY, PASSENGERS ARE REQUESTED TO EXAMINE THEIR TICKETS AND CHANGE BEFORE LEAVING THE BOOKING OFFICE, AS MISTAKES CANNOT AFTERWARDS BE RECOGNISED", black on cream, lower case lettering, 13_"x9". A few minor surface blemishes but a generally good example of this type of sign which was prone to damage and rusting. This example was acquired from Cheltenham Racecourse station in the 1950s. |
