Lot 52 A Locomotive Worksplate "LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 67634, DONCASTER WORKS, 1935", from a LNER V1 Class 2-6-2T No 417 built at Doncaster, Works No 1806, in 1935. It was the first of the Class to be rebuilt in 1940 with a higher pressure boiler and re-classified as V3 Class. It was renumbered 7634 in 1946, becoming BR 67634. In BR days it was shedded at Gateshead and Blaydon from where it was withdrawn in April 1962 to be cut up two months later at Darlington Works. Cast brass oval, 9"x5", with brass renumbering strip (7634 visible underneath). The front lightly cleaned though without paint, the back untouched.
