| Lot 73 | A "Bergan Line" double royal Poster "MADEIRA AND CANARIES, THE SUNSHINE ISLANDS BY VENUS", by Raymond Tooby. A colourful poster featuring the ever popular holiday destinations. It shows tourists travelling by ox cart passing flowers in the foreground with palm trees, mountains and a steamer beyond. Rolled and in excellent condition, a small overlay at the lower left to match the background obscures the wording "Autumn to Madeira", to the right the matching slogan "Winter to Madeira and Canaries" remains. (The poster carries no reference number) |
