Selling Your Railwayana
Information for Vendors
We are now inviting entries for our forthcoming sales on 4th October 2008 and 17th January 2009.
Commission Rate: 10% + VAT (Total 11.75%)
We offer a guaranteed payment date for vendors with cheques posted seven working days following the
Auction (second Tuesday after the sale).
Entries can be delivered to Stoneleigh on 12th July. However, please forward a list or phone us
beforehand with brief details. Alternatively, items can be delivered to Woodford Halse or Banbury by
arrangement. In some cases collection can be arranged.
It is to your advantage to enter items at the earliest possible opportunity to enable us to advertise
in The Railway Magazine and many other periodicals in which we have a full page monthly advert, undertake
any research necessary and photograph and catalogue your lots.
A reserve or guide price can be placed (agreed with the Auctioneer at the time of entry) on items for
which we estimate a value of £100 or above. Please note, however, that we can sell almost any Railwayana
and that with over 3000 catalogues distributed your entries will receive maximum exposure.
Vendors Who Have Entered Items in this Sale
We wish to express our appreciation to the 131 Vendors who have provided us with the excellent selection
of material included in this catalogue. Your statement listing your entries in this sale is enclosed
with your catalogue. Your settlement cheques will be posted on Tuesday 21st July, we of course welcome
entries for our future sales.
An Auction of Railway Tickets - 650 lots entered
Due to venue availability, this sale will be held in Autumn 2008
We will be holding a special auction of railway and other travel tickets at the Charing Cross Hotel in
London. A wide variety of early, rare and interesting material is already included in this sale and we
have only limited space remaining for additional items of similar quality. If you have anything suitable,
please contact us for further details.
Catalogues for this sale must be ordered separately, they are free of charge to any collectors interested
in this field.
Our standard commission rates apply (though no minimum charge per lot).
