Lot 25 A Great Western Railway brass Cabside Numberplate "5339" from a 43XX Class 2-6-0 "Mogul" built at Swindon in January 1918. In its early years it was allocated to Cardiff Canton and Reading and in BR days Carmarthen, Newton Abbot, Exeter, Severn Tunnel Junction and St Philips Marsh from where it was withdrawn in November 1960 and cut up five months later at Swindon Works. Ex loco condition with original paintwork, the loco details stamped into the beading, "Engine Class 2-6-0K, Boiler Class D.G.". This lot includes original Swindon paperwork and loco history.
