| Lot 57 | A BR(Sc) light blue Totem Sign "SALTCOATS CENTRAL", (h/f), from the Glasgow and South Western Railway's Kilwinning to Ardrossan and Largs branch, close to the Isle of Arran. The suffix was added on 30th June 1952 but dropped on 4th February 1965, after which the station was re-signed, explaining why this is quite a scarce totem. Good colour though some loss of shine due to the station's proximity to the sea. |
