| Lot 71 | A Locomotive Worksplate "HENSCHEL, NR. 23134, 1937, HENSCHEL & SOHN GMBH, KASSEL, GERMANY", from a South African Railways 3' 6" gauge 3kv DC Class 2E Bo-Bo electric locomotive E136, differing in detail only from the Class 1Es of the 1920s. The 2Es were a class of only three locos built by Henschel in Germany, all were withdrawn in 1973. Cast brass rectangle, 11_"x 6", the front lightly cleaned. |
