A London and North Eastern Railway cast iron Seatback Plate "AIRDRIE", from the North British Railway's station situated just east of Coatbridge on the Glasgow to Edinburgh via Bathgate route. Passenger services east of Airdrie ceased on 9th January 1956, after which the station became the branch terminus for services from Glasgow. The plate is in completely original condition with Scottish region light blue paintwork, 26" long.
