| Lot 219 | A BR(S) quad royal poster "THE SOUTH DOWNS", by Jack Merriott (AD6657/A3). A panoramic view of a village in the foreground with a couple walking in a lane and the chalk hills in the distance, at the base a map of the area and text "The Countryside close to the sea within easy reach of London, for a days outing or a longer holiday, frequent services of electric trains". The poster is folded, though otherwise in excellent condition with just the usual minor wear where a couple of the folds meet. |
