| Lot 280 | A locomotive worksplate "BEYER PEACOCK & Co LTD, 7510, BEYER-GARRATT LOCOMOTIVE, BRITISH PATENTS...., MANCHESTER 1953" from a Rhodesian Railways 3'6" gauge 2-8-2+2-8-2 Class 16A Garratt No 632. Although many of the Class were withdrawn by the late 1970s, No 632 was instead refurbished and returned to traffic on 9th October 1979. Cast brass oval, 10_"x6_", paint cleaned off the front, otherwise unrestored. |
