| Lot 39 | A locomotive worksplate "LMS, BUILT 1925, ST ROLLOX". Engines built that year were Class 4 (later 4F) 0-6-0 Nos 4179-206, which became BR 44179-206, and Class 4 (later 4P) 4-6-0 Nos 14630/1, which survived into BR days becoming 54630/1, withdrawn in 1951 and 1948 respectively, although the latter did not actually receive its BR number. Cast brass oval, 10 1/2"x6", the front unpolished and repainted black, the back in original condition. |
