| Lot 57 | A Southern Railway "Bulleid" Locomotive Whistle from a Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2, 35029 "Ellerman Lines". A fine example in original condition comprising whistle, feed chamber with circular fixing plate with Ashford "A" triangle cast in, steel operating bar with spring and hinged attachment, overall dimensions 21 1/2". The whistle was purchased from BR(S) in the 1960s and collected from Salisbury Shed by the vendor. |
