| Lot 18 | A locomotive worksplate, "THE BALDWIN LOCOMOTIVE WORKS, 72313, PHILA, U.S.A. OCT 1945", from a standard gauge SNCF Class 141-R 2-8-2 No 500. A coal burner, it was shedded at Boulogne for a period and withdrawn in 1970. Cast brass, 14 3/4"x95/8", in ex loco condition, the "BLW" emblem displayed in the top centre of the plate. |
