A large and impressive scale model of a Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway signal with home and distant arms, ground frame and wiring, scale 1" = 1 foot. It was built by John Vaughn Berry of Silverdale, Lancashire around 1929 and mounted on a wooden base. A description plate has been added to the base and a plate glass case fitted, overall 36" high, 21" wide and 10" deep. Berry was an uncle of the author and historian James Boyd. The model is of the highest quality.
