| Lot 4 | A locomotive worksplate, "NASMYTH WILSON & Co LIMITED, No 1452 - 1925, PATRICROFT, MANCHESTER", from a LMS Class 3 (later 3P) 4-4-2T No 2124 built for the London, Tilbury & Southend line. It was allocated the new number 1942 by the LMS in 1947 but the loco was never renumbered, becoming BR 41942 the following year. It was withdrawn from Plaistow in 1956. Cast brass triangle, 13 3/4"x5 1/2", the front cleaned and repainted, the back in original condition. |
