A locomotive worksplate, "MANNING WARDLE & Co No 1361, LEEDS 1897", from the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway 2-6-2T "YEO" delivered new to Barnstaple in November 1897. When the L&B was taken over by the Southern Railway at the 1923 Grouping, "Yeo" was numbered E759. The Railway closed at the end of the 1935 summer season and an auction of the various assets was held on 15th November 1935. The Railway's five locos realised a total of only £236 with "Yeo" making £50. All except "Lew" were broken up by J Cashmore Ltd at Pilton. Engraved brass, 107/8"x6", front polished, back original condition.
