Great Central Railwayana Auction Sale 168, Auction Lot 307
Lot 307 A worksplate, BRUSH ELECTRICAL MACHINES, HAWKER SIDDELEY, LOCOMOTIVE No 1000, 1991, an unusual presentation plate made by Brush which relates to the 1000th loco built at Loughborough, Class 60 No 60098 named CHARLES FRANCIS BRUSH by the Mayor of Charnwood District after the founder of the Brush Company. Strangely Brush got it wrong as the pattern of this plate is incorrect and reverts to the previous pattern of Brush plate which was applied up to loco 60053 (or thereabouts) and amended thereafter when the structure of the Company changed. The loco is currently stored out of service with DBS at Toton. Cast aluminium, 9¾"x5¾".
 This lot sold for £230.
